Strengthening Climate Resilience: Stories from Thailand and Lao PDR

In May 2025, I had the privilege of documenting the lives and stories of communities across Thailand and Lao PDR as part of Oxfam’s Strengthening Climate Resilience (SCR) project. Supported by the Australian Government, this initiative is vital in helping vulnerable Mekong region communities adapt to a changing climate—from implementing climate-smart agriculture to improving local disaster risk management.

These photographs capture the intersection of environment and endurance. Through these portraits and landscapes, I sought to document not just the challenges posed by the climate crisis, but the active, determined resilience of the individuals leading the way toward a more secure future.
